Trillium Asset Management Announces the Election of Four Members to its Board of Directors

JANUARY 29, 2012 // BOSTON, MA: Trillium Asset Management, LLC (Trillium) announces the election of four members to its Board of Directors.
“This new slate of Directors brings with it a deep level of commitment to corporate sustainability.” said Matthew Patsky, Trillium’s CEO. “Our employee/shareowners elected these directors to help build the firm’s long-term shareholder value with consideration of its strong social and environmental policies. Peter Kinder is an independent consultant on socially responsible investing and a blogger at The Bell and Accountability Central. He co-founded KLD Research & Analytics, Inc. in 1988 and served as its president and board chair until its sale in 2009 to Risk Metrics Group (now owned by MSCI). Mr. Kinder has written numerous books, articles and white papers on Socially Responsible Investing and corporate accountability. Mr. Kinder received the First Affirmative Financial Network SRI Service Award in 1992 and the Joan Bavaria Award for Building Sustainability into the Capital Markets in 2011.
Reginald Stanley is Managing Partner of Sustainable Growth Strategies, a business and marketing consulting firm that provides strategic, analytic and executive management services to for-profit, non-profit and entrepreneurial organizations. He has enjoyed over twenty-five years experience contributing to substantial organizational and client growth while serving in executive, consulting and board leadership roles at McKinsey & Company, Bain and Company, Fidelity Investments, Calvert Investments and various non-profit organizations. In 2009, Mr. Stanley received the First Affirmative Financial Network SRI Service Award.
Deborah Widener has been Managing Director at several investment banks, raising significant amounts of capital for corporate clients both publicly and privately in the US market as well as in Europe and Asia. Ms. Widener was also a Vice President at General Electric Capital, where she was responsible for all New York leverage buyout activities as well as all SEC regulated activities. While at Robertson Stephens & Co. she strategically supported the firm’s early research report on Socially Responsible Investing. Ms. Widener will serve as the Chair of Trillium’s Board of Directors.
Paul Zettl is Managing Director, Retail and Social Media Marketing at TD Ameritrade. In this role he leads the segment planning function for the company’s retail businesses, including the long term investor and active trader segments. Additionally, he is responsible for the client communications and social media marketing functions. Prior to joining TD Ameritrade, Mr. Zettl spent 10 years at Fidelity Investments in Boston in various senior marketing roles within Fidelity’s Institutional businesses.
